Congratulation!
Since how many days/weeks are you training your brain with this test? Are you doing it on a daily basis?

I did about three weeks solid when I started four months ago and intermittently played it until knuckling down again to a regular schedule a week ago. I'm bumming around on 7-back now, with occasional forays into 8-back.

Another correlation (which isn't to say there is causation at work) is that, since beginning training, I have found it much easier to go to bed at the right time (ie. not to procrastinate or buzz about nervously past the ideal bedtime).

I think that, regardless of the potential benefits, I find dual n-backing quite relaxing, as I have to empty my mind of everything that is nagging away at me in order to do well. Maybe this is a beneficial meditative aspect that ties in with the reduced antsiness mentioned above.

Dual N-Back Training for Sport
I play in a minority sport at national level. In a tournament this weekend, I noticed that I was capable of sustaining attention for much longer periods than I have been before (I'm normally a hi-octane, impulsive, moody player). For the first time, I feel ready to ascribe a change in real-world experience to training on this task.

One great benefit of d n-b, as I see it, is that it trains you to keep (intensely) focused, regardless of distracting setbacks; it is imperative that you keep a cool head.

Yes -- the cool head is imperative. I know because lack of it has been my downfall in that test. I get an "X", lose a second or two of concentration feeling anything from surprise (how did that happen?) to stupidity (I'm such a moron), and then I'm lost for a few sequences.
