Getting discouraged atfter 2 -back

Sorry, I didn't include the information in the topic. Anyway, I've been getting discouraged after 2-back because although I frequently do well enough to move onto 2-back, I never seem to be able to do 3-back when I attempt it. Admittedly, I haven't been as constant with the n-back game as I would've liked and only intermittently play but I always seem to lose motivation whenever I come back after a month or so hiatus only to fail at 3 n-back.

I suppose my question surrounds whether or not my experience is typical and what I should do to more easily ameliorate my n-back progress?

My assertion is that my faults lie in not having a consistent n-back practice schedule.

The benefits came with number of sessions rather than level reached in the study.

My dad was at the same point the first day he tried. You just need to learn the trick to remember it. At first, my father didn't understand the general principle of 3-back, keep switching back and forth, and remember how to play...
When you lose your understanding, it's best to stay in action on a level you can play by the rules, to re-encounter your level of difficulty.

What is an optimal session number?
? | 2 years ago Reply
They counted 19 sessions, one session per day, 5 days a week. That number is a bare minimum (as I recall).

@Keile: why do you bother? What do you expect when you're farting around like that? Let me guess: you want someone to do it for you?

Such laziness! It doesn't deserve an answer!
