Dual Pasat

Wouldn't it be interesting to have a version of PASAT that did audio and visual numbers at the same time? And you enter two answers? Of course PAVSAT wouldn't be "science" but it sounds like a fun exercise :)

PASAT + n-back is alright; two addition tasks at the same time is harder -- how would you enter the answer?

Ideally you could say the answer, but knowing how crazy that would get, it's probably more practical to make a PASAT alongside a "dumbed down" version of something else. A matching task a la n-back, or a comparison/differentiation task a la the Flanker or go/no-go.

well, you could just make the rule so that you enter the auditory numbers answer first and the visual second.

Pavsat 2:

Auditory: 3 9
Tekst: 6 8

And you press 12 *enter* 14 *enter*

Pavsat 3:

Auditory: 2 7 5
Tekst: 3 8 9

and you press 14 *enter* 20 *enter*

And you press 12 *enter* 14 *enter*

Surely it is science!

Not in the way that we have research to explain the validity/benefits of the exercise :) I'm sure the activity wouldn't be a waste.

Ohhhmy... That would be very interesting indeed. I for one would enjoy this kind of exercise. :)

I second this.

Although it would be sick and wrong and incredibly hard.

Would making the sums multiplications rather than additions help? ;-)

There should as many variations for the PASAT as there is for Dual-N Back simply out of the fact of how beneficial it would be.
