A fellow user brought up this video, which is another great lecture by Ramachandran at TED. Here he covers three interesting neurological disorders: Capgras syndrome, where somebody would see a loved one but think they are fakes, phantom limb syndrome, and synesthesia, where pathways in the brain cross over with each other, such that one can experience things like "all 5s are red" and "7 is a thunderclap."
